Bimbo Bread: For those romantic mornings when your regular bread just isn’t quite sexy enough.
Serving suggestion: French Maid Toast.
LOL! Is this the first time you’ve seen Bimbo brand!?
Hey… this store might have Lumpia!!! In the freezer section!
Only if the freezer section was established shortly after Hell froze over. You do know I live in the Northeast, right? That limits the Lumpia and the Bimbos both, unfortunately. I need to move somewhere Lumpier.
LOL! Lumpier! Nice
Does yelp offer a ‘Filipino’ section in ‘dining’ for your area!?
I want you to have Lumpia, dang it!! LOL!
(however, it is a flour wrapper… I know how to make them and could do GF… however, I’m eating gluten right now… kinda’ have to eat what I can at this point!)
Oh heavens, maybe you’d better just mail me some. We don’t have, you know, too much stuff here. Of the food variety. But there are potatoes, I think. Which I also can’t eat.
And healthy! Just look at all that whole grain! You know, if you’re into that.
I actually saw this bread, which I’d never heard of before our conversation, in a store here in California. It made me laugh. I wonder what the backstory on that name is? Perhaps it’s one of those cases where something was lost in translation. Or should I say gained in translation!
I dunno, but it looks like there’s a website on the bag there…you got time now, right?
